Bring your favorite chair of blanket. October 11 at 6:16pm -- Cat-Women of the Moon and Freaks.
Cat-Women of the Moon -- They're fiery...fearless...ferocious! Five astronauts travel to the dark side of the moon on a scientific expedition. There they discover a cave which somehow retains a breathable atmosphere. They remove their space suits and venture on. After an encounter with two giant spiders, they discover their space suits have been stolen from where they left them. Forced to carry on into the cave, they soon find a city where the last members of a centuries old civilization greet them with food and drink. Little do they know that these lovely leotard-clad women led by Alpha (Carol Brewster) are using mind control on the ship's Navigator. Their plan is to use the navigator, (and their own feminine wiles) to gain enough knowledge to steal the ship, travel to Earth and gain control of all the women there. Complicating things is the love triangle between the ship Captain, Laird Grainger (Sonny Tufts), Kip Reissner, (Victor Jory) and Helen. Dir. Arthur Hilton, 1953, USA, 64 min.
Freaks -- "We'll Make Her One of Us!" from the gibbering mouths of these weird creatures came this frenzied cry... no wonder she cringed in horror... this beautiful woman who dared toy with the love of one of them! In a side-show circus, where the greatest attractions are deformed people, the gorgeous trapeze artist Cleopatra (Olga Baclanova) is the lover of the strong Hercules (Henry Victor). She plays as if she liked the German midget Hans (Harry Earles), who is in love with her, to borrow his money and get expensive gifts he gives to her. When the jealous German midget Frieda (Daisy Earles), who loves Hans, asks Cleopatra to spare Hans from a great deception, she accidentally discloses that he is an heir of a great fortune. Cleo decides to get married with Hans to poison him and get his inheritance. In the wedding feast, Cleopatra openly flirts with Hercules and mocks the side-show performers. When a very ill Hans is saved by a doctor that tells that he has been cruelly poisoned, the other freaks snoops in Hans trailer and they find what Cleopatra is doing with him. In a stormy night, all the freaks join forces and transform Cleopatra in the Feathered Hen. Dir. Tod Browning, 1932, USA, 64 min.
