Mayor's First Day Festival

The Mayor's First Day Festival is Sunday, August 3, 2008 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Sommet Center in Downtown Nashville. Join Mayor Karl Dean for this free community celebration, as we welcome the beginning of a new school year. Event will feature school supplies, entertainment and educational activities! Mark your calendar and plan to attend a fun-filled celebration of our schools, children and parents.
In addition, Mayor Dean is hosting a food drive at the festival this year to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank. Please bring a non-perishable food item to help feed the hungry in Nashville.
