The 9th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference will bring over 2000 fans, artists and industry professionals together from all over the world, representing all facets of the Americana genre, to the Nashville Convention Center and premiere venues like the Mercy Lounge, Cannery Ballroom, The Station Inn, the Basement and 3rd & Lindsley from September 17 – September 20. The AMA Festival will feature up to 60 showcase or performance slots for both established and emerging artists.

The enticing list of artists scheduled to perform during the 9th Annual Americana Music Festival & Conference continues to swell and generate an infectious buzz with newly announced red-letter additions: blues chanteuse Marcia Ball, neo-blues/folk synergist Langhorne Slim, innovative bluegrasser Tim O’Brien, southern rock torch-bearers Cross Canadian Ragweed, Grammy award-winning favorite Kathy Mattea, groove-oriented quintet Band of Heathens and wry acoustic duo Folk Uke. The additions join an already stellar lineup of Americana’s finest, including Argus-eyed troubadour James McMurtry, bluegrass gypsies The Belleville Outfit, wistful honky tonker Jim White, esteemed roots-rocker Paul Thorn, virtuosic troupe The SteelDrivers and moody pop/folk clan The Snake The Cross and the Crown. More performers will be announced as the festival approaches.

The signature event of the festivities is the Americana Honors & Awards show on September 18th at the Historic Ryman Auditorium which this year will honor Jason and the Scorchers and John Hiatt among others. Last year's performers at this event included, Lyle Lovett, Old Crow Medicine Show, Patty Griffin, Joe Ely, the Avett Brothers, Ricky Skaggs and Bruce Hornsby. In addition to the amazing music at the Ryman, the festival continues at the listed venues each evening Wednesday through Saturday with some of the finest acts on the planet.

By day, the Americana Music Conference features numerous panels, seminars, a trade show, and much more. This special event covers the interests and needs of artists, managers, labels, radio stations, publishers, agents, promoters, retailers, performing rights organizations, legal and business affairs executives, tour-related services, merchandisers, new media and all related allied professionals.
