In celebration of the Southeastern Premiere of his new film Mister Lonely, The Belcourt has asked internationally acclaimed filmmaker and Nashville native Harmony Korine to curate a small series of films that provide insight into and influence on the spirit of his work. Korine’s selections are comprised of four unique films by four different filmmakers, two of which have left behind an estimable body of work: John Cassavettes, Husbands, and R.W. Fassbinder, Ali: Fear Eats the Soul; and two who are not only very much with us and still working, but also star in Korine's new film: Werner Herzog, Land of Silence and Darkness and Leos Carax, Mauvais Sang (Bad Blood).

In addition, the Belcourt will showcase the Southeast Premiere of the The Lonely, a documentary portrait of Harmony Korine during the production of his third feature film Mister Lonely on Monday, May 19 at 7:30pm, by Nashville based filmmaker Brent Stewart who will be in attendance for a Q & A. Also screening will be the earlier works of Harmony Korine: Gummo and Julien Donkey-Boy which will play as a double feature on Thursday, May 22 with midnight screenings on Friday and Saturday, May 23 and 24.

Special Note: Director Harmony Korine will be in attendance at the opening night screening of Mister Lonely on Friday, May 16 at 7:30pm. Tickets for this special screening are: $12/Regular Admission; $9.25/Belcourt Member. Click here to buy tickets.

    Definately AMAZING!! Quite an experience for a first timer but I will definately be back next year with an extra crowd! If you like the movie, you'll LOVE the live show. Amazing is all I can say!
