More than 1,100 athletes from 27 delegations across the state of Tennessee will parade into Allen Arena at Lipscomb University for the Opening Ceremonies of the Special Olympics Tennessee Summer Games. With this year's Summer Games theme "Celebrating 40 Years of Excellence - Keep the Flame Burning," the ceremonies will include live entertainment by Christian recording artists Anavox. More than 100 police officers from Metro Nashville, TBI, Brentwood and Franklin will run the Olympic flame into the arena to officially open the Games.

Mary Glenn Lassiter of 105.9 The Rock serving is parade announcer and Julie Kroenig, News 2 This Morning anchor, is master of ceremonies.
