Add Review/CommentThe Hendersonville Arts Council invites you to attend the reception for the Sumner County Art Teachers at historic Monthaven on Friday, May 2. This will be the 3rd year for the exhibit. All the art teachers in the county have been invited to participate in this special exhibit. The exhibit gives the teachers a chance to share their work as well as show their artistic abilities. Most of the artwork is for sale and contains a variety of media. The teachers that are participating this year are: Sonya Cole - Merrol Hyde Magnet School; Monique DeLeon – Aaron Academy; Sandra Kandros and Helenmary Hendrix – Hendersonville High School; Nicole Lawrence Parsons – Hendersonville Christian Academy; Lorraine Puckett – Beech High School; Kathy Timblin – Madison Creek Elementary; Emily Tuttle – White House High School and more.
Included in the exhibit are watercolors, acrylic, oils, wet transfer, collage, ink, colored pencil, graphite and more. The public is invited to show their support of the art teachers who teach our students the fun of creativity, building a foundation for many to go on to become a professional in the art field. For more information and a registration form call 822-0789. This exhibit is made possible with the help of the Tennessee Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts.
