Add Review/CommentSince 1984, Miss Martha’s Ice Cream Crankin’ contest has brought together people from many communities across Nashville to crank homemade ice cream and serve it up for a great cause. It’s time to do so again at First Presbyterian Church. Purity Dairies, which is the title sponsor for the event, will conduct the competition. As in years past, the winning flavor will become an official Purity ice cream available everywhere Purity ice cream is sold. Guests at the event can enjoy many mouth-watering flavors of ice cream while taking part in an ice cream-making competition judged by Purity representatives, ice cream industry specialists and local celebrities. All proceeds from admission to the event will go towards the Martha O’Bryan Center, which supports east Nashville families living in poverty.
Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the following categories:
• Chocolate base
• Vanilla base
• Other
• Youth created (Age 16 and under)A winner will be chosen from each category, and those four winners will enter the next round of competition. The overall favorite will become the Miss Martha’s Crankin’ Contest winner and named the next Purity ice cream flavor.
Note: Date is unknown at this time.
