Superintendent Stuart Johnson announced that park rangers and volunteers will present Reminiscing in Blue and Gray: A Living History Tour of Stones River National Battlefield. Visitors will tour the battlefield more than 144 years after the fighting erupted on New Year’s Eve 1862 and get a chance to hear the stories of soldiers and civilians whose lives were changed forever by the Battle of Stones River. The tours will last approximately 90 minutes and include four stops. A maximum of 15 vehicles will be permitted on each program. Advance reservations are welcome. In person reservations will only be taken on the program dates.

These programs are a part of a series of interpretive programs offered at the battlefield during the year. Stones River National Battlefield is located on the Old Nashville Highway northwest of Murfreesboro. Additional information is available at the visitor center, by calling (615) 893-9501 or at the park website.
