Nissan Concert Series Presents George Jones with Jason Byrd
May 18, 2008
George Jones first hit the charts in 1955 with "Why, Baby, Why." In 2004, he celebrated his 50th Anniversary as a recording artist with the release of a 3-CD set entitled George Jones 50 Years of Hits which featured one hit for each year of his career. Jones has won two Grammys -- separated by 18 years. The first, in 1981 for his performance of "He Stopped Loving Her Today" and the second, in 1999, for his performance of "Choices." His most recent release, George Jones: Hits I Missed . . . and One I Didn't, features songs that passed by George on their way to becoming hits. Now George is putting his touch on these classics, plus updating a hit he didn't miss by including the first new version of "He Stopped Loving Her Today" in 25 years.

Event Name: Bluegrass Nights at the Ryman featuring Vince Gill
"Vince was great"
Review posted by: S. McDowell from Nashville, Tenn, Jul 12, 2008
This was the best show I have ever had the pleasure to attend. The music was awesome and Vince was so down to earth and humble. He had the best group of players with him. It was just great!

I have a lot of respect for Eddie Izzard, his insights and comedy are fun and not the typical stand up. He is a brave guy. Last night in Nashville he was mediocre. He is adorable to look at, but he seemed to resent the fact he was there, and it was clear he was laughing at us. I also was surprised at how loyal his audience was to him thru the whole thing. I would like to see him in NYC, bet he brings his A game there. Collapse
